THE
OCS FOUNDATION MISSION
The
OCS Foundations primary mission is to
empower the over 750,000 graduates of OCS and
their families by providing an online environment
within which the various OCS Chapters, Interest
Groups and Individuals may participate in active
dialogs, activities and otherwise conduct OCS
related business.
THE UNMET NEED
Since Officer Candidate Programs were first
founded in 1941 over 750,000 individuals have
graduated from the various branch programs, most
notably Senator Robert Dole, General Tommy Franks
and Major Richard Winters of Band of Brothers
fame. This highly professional but fragmented
group has not, until now, been able to establish
a viable forum in which to conduct activities
related to OCS programs, business, alumni
associations and areas of mutual interest and
concern.
OVERVIEW OF THE OCS FOUNDATION
The OCS Foundation (OCSF) is a
non-profit Title 501c19 veterans
organization serving over 750,000 OCS and OTS
graduates around the world. OCSF was conceived
with the advent of ARMYOCS.COM, our pilot
website, and is now the controlling
organizational portal for more than 15 service
branch and numerous smaller OCS related websites.
Serving as the hub for the OCS/OTS alumni
community and as the primary information source
for prospective OCS candidates, the OCSF
community of websites currently receives over
three million visitors per month and serves over
550,000 registered members.
OCSF serves to assist in the promotion and
recruitment of potential candidates for OCS/OTS
schools and programs by providing online forums
and discussion groups. OCSF assists candidate
families by providing message boards and online
communities for the families of attending
candidates.
OCSF is further dedicated to preserving the rich
history of OCS, promoting the OCS mission and
educating the military and the general public
through a national OCS Hall of Fame, various
service branch OCS/OTS Halls of Fame and an OCSF
magazine.
On behalf of the entire OCSF organization, we
welcome your support and participation.
Respectfully:
Russell B. Watson,
Chairman
